In 1968, The North Face founder Doug Tompkins and three friends took a legendary road trip to Patagonia, South America. Captivated by Patagonia’s natural beauty, Doug and his wife Kris moved to Chile and created Tompkins Conservation. Over the past 25 years, they have purchased and developed more than 13 million acres of protected national parks. Following Doug’s legacy, world-renowned outdoor photographer Chris Burkard ventures to Chilean Patagonia with the Mavic Air on an assignment to uncover the region’s majestic wilderness from an aerial perspective.
