Since 1946, the Cannes Film Festival has drawn the biggest names in the film and fashion industries to France’s shores to bear witness to the greatest films of the year while donning the most exquisite fashion on the red carpet. The event was created as a response to the suspension of the Venice Film Festival during WW2, and seeing as Italy and France are two of the most iconic fashion capitals in the world, it’s not surprising that the Cannes Film Festival is one of the most colorful and extravagant events in the world whether we’re talking films or fashion.
