When I picture a restaurateur, three qualities immediately come to mind:

1. Entrepreneurial.

2. Determined.

3. Resourceful.

Those qualities were on full display during the pandemic as restaurants were forced to adapt rapidly to meet the new needs of their customers. From my perspective, there is no greater silver lining from COVID-19 for the industry than this: Operators fast-tracked the adoption of technology by nearly four years to better meet guest needs and streamline operations.

Better sharing options for appointment schedules

The appointment scheduling feature allows people to share their availability via a booking page, which can be used by external stakeholders, clients, and partners to schedule a meeting.
Starting today, we’re making it easier to share appointment schedules on web through a new Share button. This update allows appointment hosts to copy a short link to all appointment schedules or a specific booking page, and add HTML to embed a booking page on their website.

Amazon introduces the first Black Founders Build with Alexa cohort

Alexa Startups has announced the first cohort for its Black Founders Build with Alexa Program. Seven North American startups founded by Black entrepreneurs were selected based on their ability to innovate with Alexa and build the next generation of voice, artificial intelligence (AI), and ambient experiences.
