Since March, the majority of the country has been under strict stay-at-home orders, preventing many from taking their much anticipated spring break trips, Memorial Day getaways, and summer excursions. The outbreak of novel coronavirus has had an unprecedented impact on the travel industry: flights have been cancelled, hotel rooms refunded, and people have been staying home social distancing. Travel numbers are slowly rising however. According to one COVID-19 travel study40% of travelers surveyed indicated the likelihood of taking a domestic leisure trip with the next six months and 64% said they would be booking a leisure trip within the next six months. With a renewed interest in travel, comes an increase in necessary safety precautions.
