At Lenovo, we believe access to high-quality educational opportunities for every child around the world is critical to the betterment of society. However, according to UNICEF, over 600 million children worldwide are unable to attain minimum proficiency levels in reading and mathematics, even though two thirds of them are in school. Acknowledging this imperative gap, Lenovo actively collaborates with organizations across the globe dedicated to delivering transformative learning experiences for children. Through these partnerships, we aim to unlock the full potential of every child, bridging the educational divide and fostering a brighter future for all.

On January 19, 2023 Lenovo announced its commitment to reach net-zero emissions by 2050, in alignment to the Science Based Targets initiative’s Net-Zero Standard. As a global technology powerhouse, Lenovo is in the first group of companies to have its targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The process of validating the science-based emissions reduction targets began in 2018 when Lenovo submitted their near-term goals for review by SBTi – a collaboration of experts from CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute, and World Wide Fund for Nature. SBTi’s first of its kind Net-Zero Standard provides companies with a clear pathway to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in an effort to prevent the worst effects of climate change and future-proof business growth.
